train
Come train with us! Below you'll find the schedule of where and when we'll be training throughout the year. Nearly all of our workouts have a USAT or USATF certified coach on site! You'll also find recommendations for other places to train; you might find teammates there, but they aren't an official part of our schedule. Even if you are just a swimmer, runner or cyclist and not interested in triathlon, feel free to come by and say hi!
Last but not least: Join us on Strava!
Our Workouts are well known in the local community. Also,They are great for beginners, who we love to introduce to triathlon.
Weekly Training
Apr-Oct (Brick)
Jan-dec (Track)
tuesday brick Workout
6am, Cornelia Fort Airpark. Coach Alex Leandri leads us in a weekly 60-minute brick workout. We hold the workout on a mile+ former airport runway loop, so there's no traffic and you can't get left behind!
THURSDAY Track Workout
6am, Stratford High School Coach Sarah Portella leads us in a weekly 60-minute running workout. It's about a half mile away from Dose Cafe, so don't forget to join some of us for coffee afterwards! Follow us on Instagram for updates as we take a few breaks from the track workout throughout the year for holidays, etc.
Other Training
Swimming
We encourage people to swim with the Masters & Tri group at Nashville Aquatic Club. They have multiple practices every day of the week, including open water swims when weather permits. Most practices meet at the Centennial Sportsplex. Others swim at the YMCA in East Nashville.
Cornelia Fort AirPark
Lots of East Nashville triathletes do bike intervals at the Cornelia Fort Airport, a former airfield with a flat, mile and a quarter loop.
Shelby Bottoms Greenway
We put in a lot of running miles here, and some biking miles too! It's a great flat 8 mile out and back section of greenway that winds along the Cumberland River.
